Teachers in Industry: Unit Plans


On this page you will find a number of final projects for our summer courses, which have been developed over time by our PD.  These projects are based in their teaching content with a direct connection to their summer industry work experiences. These are presented in either a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) format or using the Understanding by Design (UBD) template.

Because the content of these projects are in most instances closely connected to the companies where the teachers work during their summers with us, we acknowledge the great contributPBL PLion our partner businesses are making to schools, teachers, and their students.  

We are pleased to be partnering with the UA College of Optical Science's O-RETINAs program.  These teachers participate with optical science businesses and laboratories and are recognized by the "*O-RETINAS Participant" designation.
